The main reefs in Cozumel are:

• Palancar, 3 miles long, with splendid horseshoe shaped coral and many caves offer one of the most beautiful dives in the world.
• Colombia, miles long, a real maze, full of pinnacle coral and many caves.
• Santa Rosa, one of the most impressive walls in Cozumel, with caves, tunnels of white-sanded bottoms, and enormous sponges.
• Paso del Cedral, shallow dive, but one of the most fish populated of the island, with multitudes of fish banks, enormous groupers, green moray eels more than 5 ft long and its caves.
• Tormentos, Yucab, Paraiso, Chankanab, Punta Tunich and many more, are shallow reefs, but extremely colourful, with white sanded bottoms.
• The spectacular walls of Maracaibo and Barakuda, which are rarely visited and reserved for very experienced divers. The artificial reef with the Felipe Xicotencalt shipwreck.
